Interior architect and designer of life&nbsp;

Benno Premsela (1920–1997), born in Amsterdam, was an influential designer and interior architect in the post-war Dutch art world. Renowned for his minimalist designs, he skillfully united beauty and functionality. His work is defined by a clear, no-nonsense design language in which the human scale always took center stage.&nbsp;

In the 1950s, Premsela worked as a stylist for De Bijenkorf, where he created spectacular window displays. He later co-founded a renowned design studio with Jan Vonk, focusing on interior and textile design. Premsela played an important role as a connector in the design world, providing many designers with commissions by linking them to the industry. He also gained recognition as a pioneering advocate for gay emancipation in the Netherlands.&nbsp;
