Lukas Bazle is a German designer based in Berlin, Germany. He grew in Goeppingen (DE) next door to his parents’ gardening centre. This gave him access to a workshop and tons of space to build the craziest things from anything he could find. His choice of studies, Industrial Design at the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany, was a natural one after that.
In 2017, a scholarship by Audi sent him to investigate Burning Man Festival’s utopian concepts for its future mobility. He analysed the immense variety and creativity of the vehicles and infrastructure. He graduated in 2018 and worked in Berlin at Mykilos, a contemporary design label based in Berlin and Hamburg. Besides that, he works as a freelancer in the Product, Retail and Interior Design fields.
Lukas Bazle’s process of designing products is best described as observing the things that surround him in his everyday life and rethinking them. Having a clear goal in mind or resolving a problem. He creates products that assure a higher level of functionality or add value to something that normally goes unnoticed.
